I operate the Mike Tierney storefront to give people direct access to the catalog and the physical archive. This store is powered by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform and related infrastructure. This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used, shared, and protected when you visit the site, place an order, sign up for updates, or otherwise interact with the store. Shopify powers the platform, but I remain responsible for the customer-facing privacy practices of this store.  

If there is a conflict between the Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy controls how personal information is handled.

The Information I Collect

Depending on how you interact with the store, I and my service providers may collect:

  • Contact information: name, billing address, shipping address, phone number, and email address
  • Order and transaction information: products purchased, cart contents, order history, and return history
  • Payment information: payment details processed through Shopify and payment processors; I do not personally receive or store full payment card numbers
  • Account or support information: messages, emails, and other information you provide when contacting me
  • Device and usage information: IP address, browser, device details, and information about how you use or navigate the site, including through cookies and similar technologies  

How I Use Your Information

I use personal information to run the store and the brand effectively, including to:

  • process orders and payments
  • coordinate made-to-order fulfillment through production partners
  • arrange shipping and provide tracking or order updates
  • respond to customer service requests
  • send marketing emails or announcements if you opt in
  • help detect fraud, abuse, chargebacks, or other security issues
  • understand store performance and improve the customer experience  

Who I Share Information With

I do not sell your personal information to random third parties. I share it only where needed to operate the store, fulfill orders, or comply with legal obligations. That may include:

  • Shopify, which powers the storefront and related services
  • payment processors, to securely process payments
  • production and fulfillment partners, including print-on-demand partners, so they can manufacture and fulfill made-to-order products
  • shipping carriers, so your order can be delivered
  • service providers that support analytics, communications, or store operations
  • legal or regulatory authorities, if required by law or necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of the store or others  

Shopify Relationship

Because this store is hosted on Shopify, personal information you provide may be processed by Shopify as part of providing the ecommerce platform and keeping checkout and store operations working properly. That said, Shopify does not replace my own responsibility to maintain accurate store policies and comply with the privacy rules that apply to my business.

This store may use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site functioning, remember preferences, understand usage, and improve performance. Depending on where you live, you may be presented with choices regarding certain cookies or tracking technologies.  

Marketing

If you opt in to receive updates, I may use your email address to send announcements about new music, merch, or archive releases. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting me directly.  

Third-Party Links

If the store links to third-party platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, or Instagram, those sites have their own privacy and security practices. Once you leave the store, your interactions with those services are governed by their policies, not mine.

I keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill orders, provide customer support, maintain business records, and comply with legal obligations. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive payment information directly by email. Use the secure checkout process instead.
